BlackJack is a winery we've long had a soft spot for and one with a large, loyal following. Based in the Harcourt Valley in the Bendigo wine region of Central Victoria, Blackjack produce unashamedly old-school styles of red wine; full of rich flavours, quality oak influence and loads of charm.
The 2021 Blackjack Cabernet Merlot is another cracking example of this popular blend; opening with plenty of blackberry and red currant fruit aromas on the nose, with some subtle mint and mixed herbs. The mid weighted palate, is approachable, refined and elegant, with lovely dark fruit flavours; plum and blackcurrant supported but some fine, firm tannins.
