97 Points - Tony Love | Very Limited Stocks
A standout winery of South Australia's Langhorne Creek, Lake Breeze has drawn plenty of well deserved acclaim of late, including being named 'Best Value Winery' in the 2022 Halliday Wine Companion.
Long considered one of Australia's most consistent Cabernet producers, the 2019 Lake Breeze Cabernet Sauvignon was one of the most anticipated red wine releases of the 2021 after receiving a glowing 97 point review in the 2022 Halliday Wine Companion.
Offering plenty of lifted black fruits and violet aromatics on this nose, the palate is flavour packed with loads of blackcurrants, chocolate and blueberry flavours. A wine of effortless power, with a silky texture and impressively long finish, this is well deserving of the high praise it's already received.
"97 Points. The epitome of signature Langhorne Creek cabernet. The quality of the fruit is in evident from the outset. It's matured for 20 months in French oak, 40% new, yet this is subservient to the black/blueberry aromas and flavours, some regional dark choc-mint adding a tiny whiff behind. Everything knits together perfectly and the varietal tannin structures lie in exact tune with the whole. When it works so well, wines like this just come alive. Screw cap. 14% alc. To 2031. $29"- Tony Love, Halliday Wine Companion 2022.
