The 2023 Yalumba Sanctum Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon opens with lovely lifted aromatics of blueberries, violets, dark berries, cherry and a touch of French oak. The palate is silky and vibrant, with layers of black fruits, cassis, mulberry and dark chocolate, with fine tannins and a long finish. Another modern-style Coonawarra Cabernet that offers sensational value drinking at this price.
"Sourced from The Menzies vineyard. Red and blue fruit, chocolate, cedar and tobacco, a little baking spice and red capsicum. It’s medium-bodied, fresh and slightly nutty and savoury, mixed berries, a light grainy and powdery feel to tannin, with a finish of solid length.
