The Voyager Estate Chenin Blanc vines are some of the original Estate vines planted in Margaret River in 1978. As a result of their age and Voyager Estate's viticultural practices, they consistently produce some of Australia's finest Chenin Blanc grapes.
As is typical of Voyager Chenin Blanc, the 2023 vintage is produced in an early drinking, soft tropical fruit style with great intensity of fruit flavours, balanced by fresh acidity and a hint of sweetness. Tropical fruit flavours of guava and melon with elements of citrus and red apple create a fruit salad style palate. The wine displays some nice fruit weight and texture with an attractive sweetness balanced with fresh natural acidity.
"93 Points. One of the better chenin blancs from Voyager Estate to date as it has flavour and richness but stays neatly in the dry spectrum. Poached pears and quince, lemon balm and lime curd with an intriguing waft of lanolin and the tug of phenolics add to the palate’s shape. There’s refreshment throughout but also depth. Lovely. $28. 13.5% alc. Drink: 2023 - 2026. Screwcap"- Jane Faulkner, winecompanion.com.au.
