This 2023 Riposte The Stiletto Pinot Gris is another vibrant expression of Adelaide Hills Pinot Gris, which is sure to have widespread appeal. Loads of nashi pear, apple and citrus flavours are delivered on the palate, supported by subtle spice, blossom and crisp acidity. A super value Pinot Gris that will deliver plenty of joy over the next 2 to 3 years.
"94 Points. Crisp and clear with bang-on, typical green apple/ green pear lines - picked crunchy rather than too ripe and soft, which means the acidity here is a core element of this wine. "93 Points. An excellent Pinot Gris from the Adelaide Hills made from a mix of free run juice and 10% pressings, with half the free run juice fermented in French oak, the rest in stainless steel. The pressings are fermented in older oak, before the three components are blended. A very pale lemon hue, the nose is beautifully fragrant. Hints of citrus and spices, lemon, grapefruit, pears and stewed apples. Thanks to a seductive texture with impressive length, this really is one of the most delicious examples of Pinot Gris yet encountered this year.
