A long time favourite of ours, Torbreck's 'Cuvee Juveniles' consistently delivers an outstanding example of the approachable, unoaked blend of Barossa's hero varietals, namely Grenache and Mataro.
Inspired by the fresh, bistro-style wines of the Rhône Valley, the 2024 Torbreck Cuvee Juveniles is a blend of Grenache, Mataro, Carignan, Counoise and Shiraz, which are sourced from key Barossa vineyards.
On the nose, the Grenache element delivers lifted florals, juicy red fruit characters; red cherry, red currant along with red plum and secondary notes of white pepper. The palate exhibits a medium-bodied texture with long acidity balancing a fruit freshness around a slightly spicier and fragrant frame than previous vintages. Another all-round delicious drinking red from Torbreck that is ready to go now and will have widespread appeal.
