Founded in 1805, Vollereaux Champagne is based in Pierry, a Premier Cru village in the heart of Champagne. Managed by the 6th generation of the Vollereaux family, Champagne Vollereaux is a truly 'Grower-producer', continuing to farm, harvest and vinify their own grapes from 40 hectares of family-owned vines. This allows Vollereaux to achieve a level of quality and consistency often lacking in the 'big-name' Champagne makers.
Due to a recent change in their import arrangements in Australia, we’ve been given the opportunity to offer a clearance offer on Champagne Vollereaux’s Blanc de Blancs Brut NV. Usually selling for $100, we're delighted to offer this outstanding Champagne at the limited time discounted price.
Produced from 100% Chardonnay grapes, Vollereaux Blanc de Blancs Brut is vibrant yet subtly complex Champagne offering. Aged for four year on lees in their 200-year-old underground chalk cellars, this speaks of the patience and meticulous detail to quality taken in the making of Vollereaux’s Champagne.
Opening with lifted, vibrant aromas of lime blossom, dried citrus and distinct mineral notes. The 100% Chardonnay brings some real vibrancy to the palate, supported by lovely white peach, lemon curd and complex toasted brioche flavours. A beautifully refined Champagne with a long, crisp finish, this would be a perfect partner to a range of seafood, particularly oysters and scallops.
"Champagne Vollereaux Blanc De Blancs is produced by a small grower and négociant from south of Épernay. On the nose, this brut champagne is fresh with Meyer lemon, green apple and fresh pear aromas. Tasty and lightly toasty with a persistent mousse of creamy lemon, fresh pear, stony mineral and citrus flavours. Nice balance! Chill and pour on its own or enjoy with seafood tapas.”- Natalie Maclean, nataliemaclean.com.
"The Champagne is finely balanced with fruit and texture in harmony. The wine has a fine dryness that brings out the white fruits and acidity. The wine is full of fruit, freshness and minerality. Drink now”- Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast.
