This 2023 Clos Clare ‘â Côté clos is an Australian Grenache of the highest quality, following in the footsteps of recent vintages of this wine that have proved hugely popular. Bright crimson red in the glass, it offers an abundance of bright red fruits on the nose; raspberry and cherry, roses and spice. The medium-bodied palate is incredibly approachable, with soft red fruit flavours and a fine tannin structure. Well deserving of the high praise it's already drawn, this is a super value Clare Valley Grenache.
"92 Points. A lighter, trimmer reveal of grenache with tart cherry, smoky spice, dried herbs, black pepper and touches of game meat as themes within the wine. Chewy with ribs of slender, dusty tannin, quite dry and dusty through the finish but with a pleasing chomp to the wine. A little succulence and fresh red berry fruits linger.
