Longview is a stunning family-owned vineyard located just outside the historic township of Macclesfield in the Adelaide Hills. The native Austrian variety of Gruner Veltliner continues to attract plenty of attention in Australia with Longview one winery leading the charge.
This 2024 Longview Macclesfield Grüner Veltliner offers plenty of subtle grapefruit, pear and earthy peppery notes on the nose. The palate is personality-packed; textured with mineral characters, citrus notes and impressive depth. A white wine of subtle depth that will deliver plenty of interest and enjoyment, it has excellent food-matching appeal.
"94 Points. Hills Grüner is also a thing. Peach and pear, white pepper and spice. It’s juicy, quite some Parmesan rind savoury stuff, dusty texture, lime rind, with a finish of excellent length.
