"93 Points. Includes 5% Grenache. Aged in French, American and Eastern European oak. Not reviewed here since the 2018 vintage, though aside that, I think it’s one of the better vintages of this wine. Juicy blue, black and red fruit, hazelnut and toasted coconut, dried herb and lavender perfume. It’s medium to full-bodied, a black and blue jube richness to fruit, but also some ironstone and umami flavours in the mix too, tannin is ripe, rippling and supple, and the finish is plump, fresh, and satisfying. It’s a warm hug from McLaren Vale kind of thing, and really lovely. A couple more years to let it shed some puppy fat may not be a bad idea, though it’s still pretty good fun as at now.
