The Pedestal range of wines are made by one of Australia's most acclaimed winemakers; Larry Cherubino. Showcasing the varietals the Margaret River region does bet, the Pedestal wines consistently deliver high-quality, exceptional value drinking.
The 2019 Pedestal Cabernet Sauvignon is a sensational example of what Margaret River is famous for; opening with classic cabernet aromas of blackcurrant and dried herb. Medium-bodied there's plenty of blackcurrant, plum, bayleaf and chocolate flavours on offer, with velvety tannins rounding off a red that delivers super value for money.
Reviews of the 2018 vintage included below;
"96 Points. From vineyards in Wilyabrup, matured in French oak for 12 months. It ticks all the boxes with its cassis fruit on the one hand, firm cabernet tannins on the other providing all-up balance. Exceptional value for a wine with an extended drinking window of opportunity. $25. 14% alc. Drink by 2033. Screwcap"- James Halliday, Halliday Top 100 Wines 2020.
"95/100. Leafy cassis and blackcurrant hold hands with ripe raspberry and crushed black pepper. There is hints of liquorice and anise in there, too. At the price this is a ridiculously well structured, classically styled cabernet – I’m not sure what more you could possibly want. Supple. Succulent"- Erin Larkin, erinlarkin.com.au.
