With a dedication to making hand-made wines that cellar gracefully, Moss Wood has for decades, won acclaim as a prestige producer and continues to do so. Planted in 1969 with its first vintage in 1973, Moss Wood is located in the sub-region of Wilyabrup. Selected for the suitability of its soils, aspect and consistent climate, it is one of the finest vineyard sites in Australia.
Keith Mugford, as chief winemaker and co-proprietor, has been making wine and tending the vineyard at Moss Wood since 1979. He was joined in this by wife Clare, in 1984. They seek and apply proven knowledge and technology to enhance grape and wine quality, constantly driving to be the best. This exacting viticulture and winemaking ensures wines of outstanding quality, distinguished by their consistency over many vintages.
