Sons of Eden is one of the Barossa's brightest young wineries, committed to delivering wines with flavour and personality from vineyards throughout this famous wine region. Consistently one of our most popular Barossa Shiraz, the 2022 vintage of Marschall Shiraz is again in cracking form.
Made as a modern interpretation of the classic Barossa style; the 2022 Sons Of Eden Marschall opens with lovely lifted ripe blueberry and red licorice notes on the nose. The palate is vibrant, juicy and fresh, while offering the depth, fruit-weight and oak you'd expect in a high-quality Barossa Shiraz. A Shiraz that offers sensational value drinking in its youth, this is likely to only get better over the coming decade.
"93 Points. I like this. Unexpectedly fresh shiraz, full-weighted, detailed and impeccably poised. Bravo. A hint of reduction on the nose sashays effortlessly to clove, star anise and dusty riffs on turmeric and curry powder, before violets, blue fruits and iodine play a more typically regional shiraz card. This is my favorite wine of the recent suite in terms of sheer drinkability. Younger vines, longer extraction and superior tannins to the rest, the result. Crunch, sass and power all in one."- Ned Goodwin, jamessuckling.com.
"92 Points. From a selection of six millennial vineyards around the Barossa. Blue fruits, spice, an inky and iodine thing happening, a kiss of cedar oak. It’s medium-bodied, kind of saline, but offers a good volume of spice and nutmeg-laced red and blue fruit flavour, acidity is balanced, some chew and grip to tannin, with a savoury/black olive finish of good length. Nice wine. Tasted: Feb24 14.5% alc. $29 Screwcap Drink: 2024 - 2029+"- Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
