"A magnificent class act!"- Dan Traucki
One of the Barossa Valley's finest wineries, Turkey Flat have been in recent red hot form even by their lofty standards. Turkey Flat's Butcher's Block has established itself as one of Australia's most reliable and best value red wines.
The 2023 Turkey Flat Butchers Block is another classic regional blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro. Medium-bodied and beautifully approachable, this offers plenty of juicy red and black berries fruit flavours, accompanied by layers of spice, dark and cassis notes. Soft and delicious, this offers the great drinkability and value for money this wine has become famous for.
"Lively red/ purple in colour, enticing aromas of red berries, a dash of dried herbs and just a hint of spice. Gorgeous mouth-filling flavours, super smooth, great depth, with excellent underlying acidity and tannins on the superb finish. A magnificent class act!"- Dan Traucki, winelines.com.au.
"$27 is extremely reasonable for a wine of this quality. More power to Turkey Flat for keeping it real. It’s a solid red wine, bright enough, accessible and engaging, and with just enough creaminess to qualify it as smooth, or a frisky version thereof. It tastes of raspberries, vanilla, pools of plum, anise and sweet, earthen spice notes. It’s mouth filling in lively kind of way. It’s very tidy drinking. 92 Points. Tasted: Jul25 14.5% alc. $27. Screwcap Drink: 2025 - 2029+"- Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
