Right from its early genesis, Provenance Wines has existed to achieve one simple goal; to make great wines that reveal the fruit quality of special vineyards. The search for vineyards of special provenance began in the mid '90s when winemaker Scott Ireland settled in the Geelong region.

lended from across six vineyards located on the Golden Plains that run west from Melbourne; 32% from the two Scotsburn vineyards at 500m elevation, 57% from three sites in Geelong’s Moorabool Valley and the Bellarine Peninsula. The final 11% was grown at Drumborg part of the far south-west Victorian region of Henty.

Beautifully perfumed with fresh fruit aromas of black cherry and spice that are supported by an earthy, forest floor like bouquet. True to its bouquet, the fresh fruit-sweet character of this wine is matched to a supple, rich palate weight, textbook Pinot Noir. Long in flavour, the finish is supported by bright natural acid and graphite-like tannin.
