Mount Macleod is a family-owned Gippsland Estate who have developed a reputation for delivering some of the best value Pinot Noir and Chardonnay you're ever likely to come across. Based in the Leongatha region, all vineyards are managed organically, with sustainable, low environmental impact and the forefront of everything they do. Combined with a paired-back (yet highly skilled) winemaking of Mark Matthews, the Mount Macleod wines are some of the most impressive and under-exposed wines around.
Medium bright red in colour with a purple tinge, this 2022 Mount Macleod Pinot Noir offer plenty of lifted aromas of pomegranate, ripe strawberries and cherries sing away whilst earthier beetroot notes hum away in the background. The palate is juicy and fresh with subtle notes of clove and spice. Young and vibrant at the moment, there are fine grained fruit tannins that will see the wine develop and show lovely secondary characters with more time in the bottle.
