The project of winemaker Scott Ireland, Provenance Wines set out to make great wines that reveal the fruit quality of special vineyards. Based in the Geelong region, Ireland works with select vineyard sites west and south of Melbourne, to deliver an impressive range of wines.
This single vineyard 2025 Provenance Henty Pinot Gris is made from grapes grown in the ultra-cool Drumborg sub-region of Henty, in far south-west Victoria. A Pinot Gris of subtle power and beautiful structure, this has layers of nashi pear and golden delicious apple, supported by poached quince and delicate maritime sea spray. Soft and easy to drink, the creamy palate is supported by delicate pastry nuance and a lingering, dry finish.
"95 Points. WA bright green gold. With its aromas of apricot, white pear and acacia, this is both concentrated and beautifully fresh. The palate is ripe, fleshy and balanced.
