Chaffey Bros is a 'new wave' Barossa producer founded in 2008 by brothers-in-law Daniel Chaffey Hartwig and Theo Engela. Crafting minimal-intervention, site-specific wines from the Barossa and Eden Valleys, their approach focuses on texture and aromatics, with their wines continuing to attract plenty of admirers.
Made from gnarly 89 year-old vines on a single vineyard in the Northern Barossa, this Pax Aeterna (Eternal Peace), displays everything we love about modern-day Barossa Grenache. Beautifully bright raspberry in colour, the 2024 Chaffey Brothers Pax Aeterna Grenache offers vibrant red fruit aromatics, with notes of fresh raspberry, cranberry and dark cherry notes leaping out of the glass.
The palate is mouthwateringly juicy with loads vibrant bright red fruits, lip-smacking fine tannins and plenty of fresh acidity. A delightful, easy drinking red with an enormously high level of 'drinkability' upon release, this comes with our highest recommendation.
