Onannon is the impressive partnership of Sam Middleton, Kaspar Hermann and Will Byron, each of whom contributed the last letters of their surname to make Onannon. Having all previously had winemaking stints at Coldstream Hills (Yarra Valley), Sam and Kaspar are continue to make wine in the Yarra Valley at Mount Mary, while Will works at a Mornington Peninsula winery.
The 2025 Onannon Mornington Peninslua Pinot Noir is made from a blend of seven vineyards throughout the Peninsula. An instantly appealing Pinot, this opens with vibrant red fruit aromas, cherry and some Turkish delight. The medium-bodied palate is rich with red and blue fruit that moves through the fine-grained tannins, finishing with some spice and mouth-watering acidity. An delightful, approachable Pinot that is ready to be enjoyed young.
