Best Rosé - 2026 Yarra Valley Wine Show
Since the early 2000's, Medhurst Estate has been crafting some of the Yarra Valley's finest wines. With an exceptional array of wine across various price points, Medhurst Estate was deservedly recognised as 'Best Value Winery' in the 2027 Halliday Wine Companion.
Long regarded as one of Australia's finest examples of Rosé, the 2026 Medhurst Estate Rosé is another brilliant release, which was just crowned 'Best Rosé' at the 2026 Yarra Valley Wine Show.
Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (55%) and Shiraz (45%), the fruit was carefully selected from dedicated parts of the vineyard to ensure fruit freshness and a trademark chalky fine finish. The juice undergoes a long and cool fermentation in stainless steel with the remaining 5% fermented in used French oak hogsheads to enhance texture and mouthfeel.
Opening with wild strawberries, grapefruit and blossom of jasmine nose, with notes of bay leaf in the background. The palate is fine and textured with plenty of red berries, cassis, strawberry and a long chalky finish. Another outstanding single vineyard Rosé from Medhurst, which is attracting plenty of well-deserved attention.
