Paxton is a family owned and operated winery located in South Australia's McLaren Vale winery. The vineyards are managed using biodynamic farming principles; without the use of synthetic fertilisers and pesticides and a focus on promoting healthy, living soils through natural compost preparations. Paxton Rosé has be one of our most popular Australian examples over the past few years and the 2023 vintage is again destined to be a big hit.
This 2023 Paxton Rosé combines Shiraz and Grenache Shiraz grown using the Paxton ‘smart farming’ program that focuses on soil health and biodiversity. The bright fruit characters are those of a healthy vineyard. Winemaker, Ashleigh Seymour, crafted this wine to be crisp, flavoursome and refreshing. A delicious rosé with pretty rose petal notes and refreshing raspberry aromas.
"This delightful McLaren Vale Rosé is made from a 50/50 spilt of Shiraz and Grenache. Stainless steel fermentation, the aim is to accentuate the freshness of the wine. As with all the wines in the series, this wine is made with biodynamic principles. An alluring deep sunset pink in colour and elightful florals on the nose with fresh strawberries. Fragrant, appealing and seamless, this is finely balanced. A good flick of acidity, this is a simple style, but makes for delicious drinking. Now and the next twelve months. 90 Points. Drink: 2024 - 2025. $22"- Ken Gargett, winepilot.com
