Giant Steps has forged a reputation as one of the Yarra Valley's leading wineries, with their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay consistently among the nation's finest examples. A product of another high quality yet low yielding vintage, the 2024 Giant Steps Chardonnay is made from grapes grown on five estate vineyards throughout the Yarra Valley.
This is again an incredibly delicious Yarra Valley Chardonnay packed with white peach, fresh melons flavours and a citrus edge, supported by well integrated, quality French oak (15% new, 85% seasoned). A perennial favourite, this new release is sure to again be hugely popular.
"95 Points. An even split of upper and lower Yarra fruit; both estate grown and from growers. Less mlf than last year. Smells fleshy with aromas of stone fruits, together with a little pink grapefruit and light citrus notes. It's both approachable and gentle, even as a young wine, but the balance for drinking now or cellaring in the short to medium term is absolutely spot on. $45. Drink: 2025 - 2029.
