Yering Station is widely recognised as one of Australia's leading Pinot Noir makers and their Village offering has established a strong reputation for delivering high quality drinking at a fantastic value price. Following in the footsteps of hugely popular recent vintages of this wine, the 2023 Yering Station Village Pinot Noir is another impressive drink-now proposition.
Bursting with plenty of regional and varietal personality, the 2023 Yering Station Village Pinot Noir is a lovely approachable Yarra Valley Pinot Noir with bright strawberry, soft cherry fruit flavours, and soft subtle tannin providing some complexity on the finish. For those seeking high quality Pinot drinking at a very reasonable price, it's hard to look past this offering from Yering Station.
"94 Points. Matured in 500L, 18% new French puncheons. A bright cherry red. Aromas of red and black fruits together with some rose bush scents and brown spices precede the nicely concentrated and well-structured palate. The fact that this will get even better over the next three to five years underlines just how well priced this is. $30. Drink: 2025 - 2029. 13% alc."- Philip Rich, winecompanion.com.au.
"A dainty soft red berried wine with hints of bilberry and juniper. There are strawberry guavas, rhubarb and redcurrants on the vine. A fresh orange veil and a wealth of juicy acidity. So alive with citrus and berries it feels quite the health tonic. Silky tannins and an undercurrent of red clay, dried leaves and cassia bark. There is plenty of intrigue and is drinking well one on its own but has the ability to age further for another 3-4 years. Try this with a Moroccan beef and prune couscous. 92 Points. Drink: 2025 - 2029. $30."- Shanteh Wale, winepilot.com.
