Established in 1979 by Geoff and Susan Bell, Freycinet were early viticultural pioneers on the East Coast of Tasmania. Consistently delivering some of Tasmania's finest wines, these continue to be 100% grown, produced and bottled on the family-owned estate.
The 2025 Freycinet Riesling is another sublime Tasmanian Riesling following on from enormously popular recent vintages of this wine. Opening with lifted floral aromatics of orange bloom and gardenia. The vibrant yet elegant palate offers a heady mix of citrus, green apple, white nectarine and gentle spice, complemented by a crisp and refreshing minerality. While drinking beautifully now, this is sure to have a long life ahead of it in the cellar.
"94 Points. Pale straw in the glass with aromas of grapefruit, green apple and citrus along with hints of clover blossom, pressed wildflowers, apple sorbet, crushed riverstone, sea breeze and distant notes of soft spice and ozone. Lime rolls in on the palate with a sheen of grapefruit pith texture, all wrapped up with a stony acid line and some lovely focus on the exit"- Dave Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion.
