Located high in Tasmania's Derwent Valley, the Meadowbank vineyard has long been considered as one of Tasmania's most important vineyards, having been a grower for some of the state's biggest names. Now under the winemaking of the highly credentialed Peter Dredge, Meadowbank continue to produce a stunning array of wines.
A wine that's firmly established itself the upper echelon of Tassie Chardonnay, the 2024 Meadowbank Chardonnay is another master class in cool-climate Chardonnay. A product of ideal growing conditions throughout the 2024 vintage, this allowed the fresh natural acidity and vibrant fruit character to take centre stage.
In the classic Meadowbank mould, it’s focused and chiselled with a rocky palate layered with citrus, white flowers and crunchy stone fruits. Signature cool-climate acidity pulls everything together, leading to a tapered, pulpy finish teeming with slaty drive.
