Located on the western slopes of Mt Camel Range, the 500 million year old Cambrian soils along with viticultural practices that focus on optimising fruit quality, provide the building blocks for Tellurian wines.
The team at Tellurian headed by the highly acclaimed winemaker, Tobias Ansted, produce some of Heathcote's finest Shiraz, with the flagship 'Tranter' Heathcote Shiraz drawing plenty of attention, along with their 'Pastiche' and 'Redline' Shiraz.
In recent years, Tellurian have added Rhone varieties, grenache, mouverdre, carignan, grenache gris, marsanne, roussane and viognier and Italian wines; nero d’avola and fiano which are perfectly suited to the continental climate of the Heathcote region.
