Over the past few years Teusner The Riebke Shiraz has won the praise of both the wine press and wine drinkers for over-delivering on quality at an unbeatable price. The name is tribute to the Riebke brothers who have some of the best kept vineyards in the Ebenezer district, and whose family have grown outstanding quality fruit from old, low yielding vines for six successive generations.
The 2019 Teusner The Riebke Shiraz is another jam-packed Barossa Shiraz bursting with all the usual flavours: plums, black fruits and warm spices. Another superb Shiraz from the team at Teusner that offers sensational value drinking.
"92 Points. Teusner’s Riebke Shiraz routinely includes a portion of grenache though I don’t have details on this 2019 release. In any case this release is a treat. Bold with sweet fruit flavour, creamy-smooth of texture, juicy and flowing through the finish. It’s medium in weight but bold in personality. It tastes of blueberry, plum, mint, fragrant/floral herbs and vanilla cream. Open this and it delivers, straight up, no complications. Tasted: May21 14.5% alc. $27 Screwcap Drink: 2021 - 2025+"- Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front.
