The palate is soft and inviting with plenty of generous strawberry and cherry flavours, light savoury notes and fine silky tannins on the finish. "95 Points. Matured in barrels of which 25% was new French oak for 9 months, all destemmed fruit. A trusted favourite for showing the rich earthiness of the Tamar Valley coupled with great intensity of red berries. Hawthorn, raspberries and red cherries. Some lofty rosehip perfume and pink peppercorn spice. Cracked dry red clay and cherry blossom, this over delivers each year for its price point and this is a wine with excellent clarity and poise this vintage. Some soft white pepper, oak plays second fiddle to its red berry spectrum. Fireworks of flavour and superb fruit intension. Duck breast, rice paper rolls and hoisin for this one. "94 Points. There’s a real brightness and energy about this wine, with its burst of dark cherry and strawberry, with a little raspberry character. The palate has such vibrant fruit intensity balanced with some nice subtle oak and a necessary crunchy acidity that gives it life and energy through to the finish. That complexity and textural feel have come from the wild ferments and regular hand plunging four times a day. Lovely wine of great vibrancy. $40. Drink: 2026 - 2034"- Ray Jordan, Wine Pilot.
