95 Points | Halliday Top 100 Wines 2021
Bleasdale is one of Australia's most historic wineries, which in 2020 celebrated an incredible 170 years of continuous winemaking by the direct descendants of the founding Potts family. A star of the Langhorne Creek wine region, the impressive range of wines are overseen by the talented Paul Hotker ('Winemaker Of The Year' - 2018 Halliday Wine Companion).
This 2019 Bleasdale Mulberry Tree Cabernet Sauvignon is another superb example of the lofty heights Langhorne Creek Cabernet is capable of. Elegant and approachable with plenty mixed berries and lifted violets the nose. The palate is smooth and persistent, with blackcurrant and spicy oak flavours, before finishing with soft and subtle tannins. A brilliant value Cabernet at this discounted price.

Great colour; cassis is the first and last impression of the bouquet and palate respectively, albeit with plenty of dried bay leaf and black olive. $22. Screwcap. 14% alc. Drink to 2032"- James Halliday, Top 100 Wines 2021.
