Yabby Lake Vineyard was established by the Kirby family in 1998, in Tuerong, which is located in the northern part of the Mornington Peninsula. Over the past decade, Yabby Lake has built a reputation for single vineyard Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah of great purity and character.
Led by the highly regarded winemaker Tom Carson, Yabby Lake's philosophy is to craft wines that speak of their site and their season in which they were grown. Yabby Lake believe it’s this attention and care in the vineyard that is most critical to allowing this expression.
In 2022 Yabby Lake embarked on an exciting new chapter, when they purchased a vineyard site in Tasmania's Coal River Valley. Continuing their long-held objective of crafting single vineyard wines of great purity and character, their Coal River Chardonnay and Pinot Noir releases have already attracted a huge following.
