Yarra Yering of the Yarra Valley is one of the most acclaimed Australian wineries, and one that led the re-birth of this famous wine region.
Under the guidance of the late Dr Bailey Carrodus, Yarra Yering was established in 1969, with the first vintages of the now legendary Dry Red No 1 & Dry Red No 2 being made in 1973.
Today winemaking at Yarra Yering is overseen by the talented Sarah Crowe, with the wines continuing to be made in the Carrodus-built winery with its purpose built equipment; small batch fermentation and hand pressing in small basket presses.
