Yarra Yering is one of the true treasures of Australian wine and a winery that led the resurgence of Yarra Valley wine, under the guidance of the late Dr Bailey Carrodus back in 1969. Carrodus named his vineyard Yarra Yering and in 1973 produced the first vintage of the now legendary Dry Red Wine No 1 & 2.
Today winemaking at Yarra Yering is overseen by the talented Sarah Crowe (Halliday Wine Companion Winemaker Of The Year 2017), with the wines continuing to be made in the Carrodus built winery with its purpose built equipment; small batch fermentation and hand pressing in small basket presses.
Each year, these are some of the most highly demanded wines produced in Australia. The newly released 2018 vintage of Yarra Yering Dry Red No 1 and No 2 are again stunning and our limited stocks are likely to go quickly.
