Established in 2012, Bondar Wines is the vision of husband and wife team Andre Bondar and Selina Kelly, who are based out of the iconic Rayner vineyard in McLaren Vale. In a relatively short period of time Bondar has made a big impression on the Australian wine scene; named James Halliday's 'Best New Winery' in his 2017 Australian Wine Companion.
This 2021 Bondar Grenache Rose is a pale, dry rosé produced from Grenache and Cinsault grown in Bondar's home in McLaren Vale. Aromatic, fresh, with loads of delicate fruit flavours and a long dry finish, this is a top-line Australian Rosé that is able to be enjoyed any time of the year.
"96 Points. Pale salmon pink; full-on perfume of rose petals and bath powder, but it's the intensity of the brilliantly juicy palate that makes this so special. $27. 13% alc. Drink by: 2025. Screwcap"- James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au.
"Grenache rosé. Musk, rosehip, a smattering of spice, pepper and herbs, redcurrant and tangerine. It’s bright, crunchy, with a gentle chalky grip, and a tangy orange and redcurrant finish of precision and fine length. Delightful. 93 Points Tasted: Sep21 13% alc. $28 Screwcap Drink: 2021 - 2024"- Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
