Grand Champion Wine of Show - 2025 Royal Queensland Awards
Planted by Fred Peacock in 1990, the Bream Creek vineyard has a long held reputation as one of the finest vineyard sites in Eastern Tasmania. With mature vines and low yields, Bream Creek's wines always deliver excellent concentration, length and sublime structure.
The newly released 2024 Bream Creek Pinot Noir was a star performer at the recent 2025 Royal Queensland Awards Wine Competition, where it was awarded three major accolades including the prestigious 'Grand Champion Wine Of Show'.
Chief Judge of the show Julian Langworthy described it as "a wine for the ages and one the Australian wine industry should be very proud of," he said. "It has great clarity and beautiful complexity - it just rose to the top in the most beautiful way during judging."
A result of a warmer than-usual growing season in Tasmania, the 2024 Bream Creek Pinot Noir is crafted in the classic bold style of this producer. Offering lovely aromatics of dark cherry, plum and spices, the palate boasts dark berry fruits, black cherry, subtle spice and excellent tannin structure. A Tasmanian Pinot of impressive concentration and sublime structure, this can be confidently cellared for the next decade.
