Founded in 1805, Vollereaux Champagne is based in Pierry, a Premier Cru village in the heart of Champagne. Managed by the 6th generation of the Vollereaux family, Champagne Vollereaux is a truly 'Grower-producer', continuing to farm, harvest and vinify their own grapes from 40 hectares of family-owned vines. This allows Vollereaux to achieve a level of quality and consistency often lacking in the 'big-name' Champagne makers.
Champagne Vollereaux Rosé de Saignée Brut NV is a distinctive, 100% Pinot Noir cuvée crafted using the traditional saignée ("bleeding") method. Unlike most rosé Champagnes, which achieve their pink hue by blending a small amount of still red wine into white wine, Vollereaux's extracts its vibrant colour and rich flavour directly through brief skin contact during maceration. Aged for three years on its lees - more than double the minimum requirement for non-vintage Champagne - it achieves exceptional depth and structure while maintaining fresh fruitiness.
Displaying an intense, deep raspberry colour with fine, persistent effervescence. On the nose, it opens with bright aromas of crushed strawberries, wild raspberries, and dark cherry. As the wine breathes, it reveals richer, indulgent undertones of fresh pastry, brioche, and subtle vanilla. On the palate, it is full-bodied, suave, and generous, offering a smooth texture that balances lively acidity with a long, fruit-forward finish.
