Made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Devil’s Corner NV Sparkling Cuvee, is a fresh and lively bubbles with plenty to offer. It shows fresh fruit flavours of crisp apple and citrus tang with underlying hints of yeast complexity. This is a well-balanced sparkling with great length of flavour and a dry refreshing finish.
Sparkling wines are always perfect for getting the party started. Try this wine with a platter of fresh Tassie oysters or just enjoy it on its own to savour its refreshing delicacy.
There's a nice mix of freshness and complexity, with gently yeasty notes on the nose here, apples and a pastry-like savoury thread ... This is straightforward and well pitched. 90 points." - Nick Stock, Good Wine Guide 2013.
In less than a decade Tamar Ridge Wines has established its own acclaimed success story as part of Tasmania’s modern wine industry. The first vines were planted at Tamar Ridge in 1994, and the first vintage was released five years later in 1999. The company continues to grow strongly and is today a leading producer of Tasmanian cool climate table wines with sales in every Australian state and a growing list of export markets.
The Devil’s Corner is a section of the Tamar River near their Kayena Vineyard. It is a calm area of refuge for sailors away from the potentially wild waters of Whirlpool Reach to the south, and has been used as such for over 200 years.
Devil’s Corner wines are pure, crisp and refreshing, displaying vibrant fruit qualities and great drink-ability. Wines to be savored now rather than cellared.
