95 Points - Jane Faulkner
Domaine Naturaliste is the project of highly acclaimed winemaker Bruce Dukes. After twenty five years of applying his craftsmanship to international and local producers, Dukes launched his own range of wines named after the Leeuwin Naturaliste Ridge; the dominant land form of viticultural significance in Margaret River.
This 2024 Domaine Naturaliste Discovery Sauvignon Blanc Semillon is another high quality example of this popular regional blend. The Sauvignon Blanc contributes lifted aromatics of gooseberry and lychee, with Semillon offering fig, white grapefruit and a mineral component. A portion of barrel fermentation adds further depth and complexity, which makes this a standout example.
"95 Points. There’s texture, flavour, brightness and good fruit flavours within - lots of lemon and mandarin, a touch of lime and barely a hint of tropical fruit, more gooseberry, if anything. There's a succulence and mouth-watering, neat acidity keeping it bopping along, a layer of creaminess and more. Nice one."- Jane Faulkner, Halliday Wine Companion.
