In the thick of the 2021 vintage, they found themselves harvesting far beyond expectations, with high-quality fruit at risk of being left to waste. Refusing to let good grapes go unused, the duo sprang into action. What began as a favour for mates turned into something bigger: a wine label forged from camaraderie, hustle, and deep respect for the vineyards they help bring to life.

The 2025 EKIN Adelaide Hills Gamay is a cool-climate Adelaide Hills Gamay showing juicy red fruit, floral lift on the nose. It's not trying too hard, it's not particularly complex, but it does deliver sappy, snappy red cherry fruitiness, a touch of wild raspberry, some dried herbs and an uplifting, minerally crunch to texture. A chill would go nicely, too. Very pleasing. Well priced, well worth it. 91 Points. 13.5% alc. Drink: 2026 - 2028.
