96 Points - Jane Faulkner
The family owned Granite Hills vineyard and winery is situated on the North Eastern aspect of the Macedon Ranges. Trail blazers of cool-climate viticulture, Granite Hills is perched atop the spectacular boulder strewn hills of the Great Dividing Range. The ancient granite soils, high altitude and cool night temperatures allow the 50 year old vines to produce grapes with rare purity of aroma, flavour and natural acidity.
The 2022 Granite Hills Riesling is another brilliant Macedon Ranges Riesling that combines intense lime and lemon flavours, texture and mouth watering acidity. A lovely drink now, this has the structure to age beautifully over the coming decade.
"96 Points. Year in, year out, a cracking rizza. This is liquid synchronicity: wafts of citrus, juicy and tangy across the palate yet so even and pure, too. Wonderful texture and length. A wine to celebrate the end of a day no matter how it panned out because this will bring a smile and much joy. $30. 13.5% alc. Drink by: 2032"- Jane Faulkner, winecompanion.com.au.
