The Kangarilla Road winery was established by Helen and Kevin O'Brien in 1997 on a site with vineyards dating back to the 1970's. These mature vines allow Kangarilla Road to achieve the rich fruit flavours that are a trademark of McLaren Vale red wines.
For their 2021 Kangarilla Road Chardonnay, Kangarilla Road source their grapes from a single vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. Produced in a fresh modern style, this offers lively fresh aromas of nashi pear, custard apple and lychee. The palate is citrus driven with notes of lemon meringue pie combined with lemon sherbet, ripe candy melon and slightly herbaceous lemon thyme. A touch of subtle oak adds complexity to this delicious drinking Adelaide Hills Chardonnay.
