94 Points - Gary Walsh
For well over the past decade, the Longhop winemaking partnership has been consistently delivering some of Australia's best value wines; today we feature the latest new release from Longhop.
Produced from grapes grown in the premium Adelaide Hills wine region, the 2021 Longhop Ravine Riesling is one of the most impressive Rieslings we've come across in a long time.
A typically aromatic Riesling, this offers perfumed florals with intense lemon, lime, apple and a touch of spice. The palate is vibrant with the classic citrus lime and lemon notes, finishing with excellent intensity and a long, dry finish. A delicious Adelaide Hills Riesling that offers super value-for-money drinking, this is a must try wine for any Riesling lover.
"94 Points. Well look at this would you. A Longhop Riesling, with fancy packaging too. Juicy, bath salts perfume, green apple and lime leaf. It has grip and lovely texture, a little bit savoury, a litte but fun, a fine chalky texture, all this grip and perfume, with again the apple and lemon zest bitterness carrying it long. Delightful. Fleshy and flavoursome. A very strong buy recommendation for drinking now, or over the next few years. Tasted: Mar22 12.5% alc $25 Screwcap Drink: 2022 - 2026+"- Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
