For well over the past decade, the Longhop winemaking partnership has been consistently delivering some of Australia's best value wines; today we feature the latest new release from Longhop. Produced from grapes grown in the premium Adelaide Hills wine region, the 2022 Longhop Ravine Riesling follows in the footsteps of the hugely popular 2021 vintage of this wine.
A typically aromatic Riesling, the 2022 Longhop Ravine Riesling offers perfumed florals with intense lemon, lime, apple and a touch of spice. The palate is vibrant with the classic citrus lime and lemon notes, finishing with excellent intensity and a long, dry finish. A delicious Adelaide Hills Riesling that offers super value-for-money drinking, this is a must try wine for any Riesling lover.
"93 Points. Lime rind, green apple, maybe even a hazelnut/raw almond character, with some mint and lemon verbena. It’s chalky and chewy with a pleasing citrus rind bitterness, quite stony and firm, but juicy in citrus and green apple flavour, the texture is excellent, and the finish is all chalk dust and pithy grip. Something of an Italianate feel to this, which makes it both different, and very interesting. It’s excellent. Love it. Tasted: Dec22 12.5% alc. $25 Screwcap Drink: 2022 - 2027+"- Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
