The 2019 Montevecchio Rosso is a co-fermented field blend made from a collection of loveable, red Italian varieties. This wine includes Nero d’Avola, Sangiovese, Lagrein, Schioppettino and Lambrusco Maestri; an unlikely yet delicious bunch! Aromas of vibrant raspberry and purple fruits are balanced perfectly with refreshing acidity. This light to medium-bodied wine has plenty of supple fruit, soft tannins and is designed to be enjoyed young.
The Chalmers’ years of experience in viticulture, and their passion for Italian varieties is matched by the care and expertise of winemaker Sandro Mosele. Sandro's minimal intervention style allows the varieties and terroir to shine through in these food friendly wines.
