Moss Wood have an internationally recognised reputation for producing some of the finest examples of Cabernet outside of Bordeaux. Designed to be balanced and drinkable as a younger wine, Moss Wood's 2018 Amy's is Cabernet Sauvignon blended with small amounts of Petit Verdot, Malbec and Merlot.
The result is a highly appealing red with generous fruit depth, an abundance of varietal blackcurrant, violets and red fruits, with the subtle oak playing a mere support role. A high-quality red wine from one of Australia's leading wineries, this is a wine of enormous appeal particularly at this price.

Planted in 1969 with its first vintage in 1973, Moss Wood is located in the sub-region of Wilyabrup. Selected for the suitability of its soils, aspect and consistent climate, it is one of the finest vineyard sites in Australia.
Keith Mugford, as chief winemaker and co-proprietor, has been making wine and tending the vineyard at Moss Wood since 1979. He was joined in this by his wife Clare, in 1984. They seek and apply proven knowledge and technology to enhance grape and wine quality, constantly driving to be the best. This exacting viticulture and winemaking ensures wines of outstanding quality, distinguished by their consistency over many vintages.
Over time, the success of Moss Wood led the Mugfords to purchase a second property, Ribbon Vale, in 2000. This Wilyabrup, dry grown vineyard, is only 1200 metres from their original estate.
