Mr Mick' is an impressive range of wines by Tim Adams; one of Australia's most talented winemakers. The range is named in honour of K.H Knappstein; a legend of Australian wine and a former mentor of Tim Adams. This wine celebrates the enduring partnership of 'Mr Mick' and Gela Knappstein in life and love.
The Mr Mick 'Gela' Dry Sparkling is made predominantly from Chardonnay and Semillon grapes harvested from vineyards throughout the Northern and central parts of the Clare Valley. The wine was cold fermented for fourteen days and then secondarily fermented under pressure before bottling. This is known as the 'Charmat' process for producing high quality sparkling wine. The wine has fresh apple and citrus aromas with savoury yeast complexity and a delicate bead; extremely approachable this is a versatile sparkling wine of enormous appeal.
