Paxton is a family owned and operated winery located in South Australia's McLaren Vale winery. The vineyards are managed using biodynamic farming principles; without the use of synthetic fertilisers and pesticides and a focus on promoting healthy, living soils through natural compost preparations. Paxton Rosé has be one of our most popular Australian examples over the past few years and the 2024 vintage is again destined to be a big hit.
This 2024 Paxton Rosé combines Shiraz and Grenache Shiraz grown using the Paxton ‘smart farming’ program that focuses on soil health and biodiversity. The bright fruit characters are those of a healthy vineyard. Winemaker, Ashleigh Seymour, crafted this wine to be crisp, flavoursome and refreshing. A delicious rosé with pretty rose petal notes and refreshing raspberry aromas.
"92 Points. 67/33% grenache/ shiraz largely from sandy soils fermented cool, but not frigidly so. There seems to be a lot of thought put into the shape of this, with an interplay of gently chewy grip, crisp freshness and relative generosity. Flavours skip through tart red berries, pink grapefruit and rosy florals, with some spice notes and a quiet note of guava or the like. It’s a fine drink. 12.5% Alc, Drink 2024-2026" - Marcus Ellis, Halliday Wine Companion
