97 Points - Philip Rich
Rob Hall was a winemaker at the esteemed Mount Mary vineyard for over 10 vintages, and during that time it's safe to assume he gained great insight into how to make top class Yarra Valley wine. After departing Mount Mary, Rob Hall launched his eponymous label, with a focus on making Yarra Valley varietals to be enjoyed in their youth at a very reasonable price point.
The 2025 Rob Hall Harriet's Vineyard Pinot Noir is another stunning Yarra Valley Pinot Noir produced made from two special vineyards; Harriet's in Healesville and a small portion from the Full Moon vineyard in Gladysdale. Opening with complex aromas, dark fruits, forest floor, some subtle truffle / mushroom notes. The palate is savoury, complex and beautifully structured, while still delivery vibrant, fresh fruit flavours of dark cherry, strawberry and raspberry. Another highly acclaimed Pinot release from Rob Hall, we expect this to sell out fast.
"97 Points. Fruit from Harriet's vineyard in Healesville was augmented with 20% fruit from The Full Moon vineyard in Gladysdale; 15% whole bunches. A very bright crimson. A quiet and seductive bouquet of wild strawberry, dried rose and just a hint of Earl Grey tea. Medium bodied; the fruit spreads evenly across the palate. The tannins are subtle, understated and persistent, as is the finish. Rob Hall hasn't missed a beat in '25. Drink now and over the next six to eight years."- Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion.
