Heinrich is named after Rolf Heinrich Binder, founder of the family winery formerly known as 'Veritas'. Rolf Binder Junior created this wine as a tribute to his father who loved this classic Barossa blend of Shiraz, Mataro and Grenache.
This 2016 Rolf Binder Heinrich demonstrates why this continues to be such a popular style; a medium-bodied Barossa red wine this hits the perfect middle-ground between soft, approachable red fruit flavours, and excellent depth and subtle oak influence. At this special price, fans of this style will find loads of enjoyment here.
“The split of 64/19/17 has melded into a harmonious whole with its seasoning of red licorice, pepper and baking spices coating red-black cherry accented fruit. Fresh and lively, yet full-bodied with some new oak adding weight and clove-sweet flavour, not too much, as this has a lot of savoury drive and tannic grip on the finish. 93 Points"- James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion 2019.
