The 2016 vintage of SC Pannell Nebbiolo represents their eighth release of Nebbiolo; a blend of five different clones from the certified Biodynamic Gumeracha vineyard in the Adelaide Hills.
This 2016 SC Pannell Adelaide Hills Nebbiolo is made in the traditional style of Barolo: with extended maceration on skins with the decision to press made purely on taste. This gives a very different tannin profile, winding them from the center of the mouth through to the very back palate.
A wine that has established itself as a standout example of Nebbiolo in Australia, the 2016 SC Pannell Adelaide Hills Nebbiolo is again highly perfumed with lifted red cherry, rose water, fennel and cassis leaping out of the glass. The palate in medium-bodied and flavoursome; typically tannic with a seamless balance of acid, which finishes with an impressively long finish.
