95 Points - Philip Rich
Established in 1982, Scotchmans Hill is located in the heart of the Bellarine Peninsula and has long been regarded as one of the region's premier producers. Scotchmans Hill Pinot Noir has a reputation of consistently delivering one of Victoria's finest Pinots; this latest release is again in ripping form.
The 2024 Scotchmans Hill Pinot Noir opens with perfumed aromatics of dark cherries, plums and a nice touch of spice. The palate is well weighted and complex with dense flavours of red plums, cherries and spice, finishing long and complex complimented by quality subtle oak. Another high quality Bellarine Pinot Noir from Scotchmans Hill that will please the many fans of this wine.
"95 Points. All estate-grown fruit and fermented with 15% whole bunches. A very bright crimson ruby. The bouquet is brightly fruited, too, with its aromas of dark cherry, rosebush and spice. Medium bodied, the palate is both detailed and structured, and while approachable now, everything is in place for this to become quite a bit more complex over the next six to eight years."- Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion.
