Sons of Eden is one of the Barossa's brightest young wineries, committed to delivering wines with flavour and personality from vineyards throughout this famous wine region. Sons of Eden takes its name from the two partners, Winemaker Corey Ryan and Viticulturist Simon Cowham, who both learned and refined their trades in the vineyards and cellars of Eden Valley.
The 2019 Sons of Eden Kennedy is a classic blend of old vine Barossa Valley Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre that leaps out of the glass with ripe cherry, blackcurrants and complex five-spice aromas. The palate is an intriguing blend of red-fruit flavours and savoury undertones supported by a rounded and fleshy mid palate. Finishing with excellent length and freshness this is a sensational example of this popular Barossa blend - ready to be enjoyed now.
"92 Points. Grenache 49%, Shiraz 28%, and Mourvedre 23% from quite the diverse range of mainly old vine vineyards. Always a solid performer. Ripe cherry and plum, spicy biscuits, a smattering of dried herbs and grilled meat. It’s supple, dark in fruit, ripe but with an earthy/savoury edge, some raspberry acidity, and a slightly sooty, saline and spicy finish offering flesh and length. Good drinking. Tasted: Jul 2021; 14.5% alc. $30 Screwcap; Drink: 2021-2025"- Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
